Yes IDNetters has been hacked, the forum backup is being transferred to another server. Hopefully back online later today.

Same here. It will probably be offline for a while whilst Rik and the boys repair the damage and make sure the web pages aren't infected with viruses

Been down a while. First i was getting "unable to connect to server" then I got the Apache 2 test page (not good) then it turned to the Brunei page.
the Orange Bikes site was also showing the Brunei page when I checked at 6.30 this morning.

Good question though. Where is the security?

As has been said, our shared server has been hacked, all sites on it are down, only IDNetters is showing the banner.

IDNet are working to restore the sites on a new server. I would expect to lose everything after 6am yesterday.

We'd advise all Windows users to do a thorough virus scan of their machines if they've visited the forum.

When we are back up, we'll post here. Once we are running again, I would urge all forum members to change their passwords.

Bad news, but at least no financial info stored there.

I did post last night that I thought that things were getting sluggish. PC-Pals on same server off as well.

JB.

Are PC-pals on the same server? If I try and go there I get a redirect to idnetters.

As far as we can tell, the attack happened some time after 2am, JB, most of the activity, before we were locked out of the server, was around 5.

Though it's not pretty just yet, and will probably take us most of the day to tidy up.

Sorry, still getting the same trash Rik.

Have cleared cache and also tried different browser. Is there something malicious running that is destroying your repair work?

Not afaik, JB, I've just been posting there with no problems. Are you using IDNet's DNS?

No, IDNet are working to restore the other sites which were co-hosted on the old server.
