So what is the difference between Zen backhaul & BTw ? Does it matter much ?

When everything is working properly- no.

When it isn't, Zen have a greater tendency to listen.

Well in almost 2 years with idnet not much has gone wrong until the packet loss 10 days ago, i know its down to Zen and can only hope all is fixed tomorrow.

I've been with them since 2006... I won't say that nothing has gone wrong in that time, or that I've never considered migrating, but I'm still here wink

OK. This morning's snapshot. Possible improvement but still some blips:

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/...

Will keep track of it and see what it looks like again this evening.

In terms of Zen vs BTw backhaul, I was on Zen backhaul and suffered from single thread speed issues (as did many Zen customers), so was moved to BTw,. IDNet have had me on TTB, Zen and Btw backhaul during my time with them and BTw have been by far the best. This may be down to GEA link problems at our local fibre exchange rather than something that you should take on board as a recomendation.

Edit: typo corrected

Same here:

My Broadband Ping

IPv6 is a bit worse, but the same pattern.

Agreed, it's really a local matter (in terms of network topology rather than geography).

Mine isn't looking any better than the last few days. I will be emailing Brian tonight with a snapshot for the day, but here is my Live BQM trace, so you can see what my connection is doing in real time:

Have you all logged calls with IDNet? If not, can I suggest you do as we are probably not all on the same backhaul.

If we have a consistent issue across both Zen and BTw backhauls that suggests something closer to home to IDNet.
