Have you tried the ‘basic’ steps ?

Is the dialling tone on the landline crackle free ?

Any notable difference in your router stats ?

Is the router dropping sync, or is it just dropping PPP ?

Is this (possibly) just wifi, does a wired connection stay up ?

Is IDnet a reseller of TalkTalk Business?

If so, I have been seeing the same issue on our Pulse8 line (TTB LLU and backhaul).

The disconnects got 'fixed' on changing my router hardware. But now we see spikes up in latency where previously the PPP would just drop (and re-connect fine straight away).

IDNet isn't a reseller of TTB, however it does purchase backhaul capacity from TTBw along with BTw and Zen for its FTTC connections.

I know because I have been on all three at various times.

Those don't look like disconnections to me. Just heavy use and quite a few lost packets.

Edit: The spikes in your OP graph from top to bottom, through the green, are probably disconnections.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

The "heavy use" is a fault, I've got it on my BQMs as well.

From the IDNet Status page:
Broadband - ADSL/FTTC/FTTP
Engineers are currently investigating an issue with one of our links out to our suppliers. This caused a disconnection and reconnection where traffic failed over to our secondary link. We are continuing to monitor and chase for further updates with suppliers and are monitoring increased latency levels due to the increased traffic on the secondary link.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused

Zen (backhaul provider) also have a fault reported here whose "detected" time (12:05) matches up nicely.
