Anyone else just had an outage?

My session went down about 1150 and has just come back.

Yup. Lost PPP twice today. Just in the last few minutes and about an hour ago.

Yes. PPP connection issues by the look of it. IDnet's status page says:
Some customers may be experiencing intermittent loss of connectivity at present due to an issue with one of our suppliers networks, their engineers are currently investigating.

Rebooting your router may bring the connection back online.

Further updates will be posted as soon as we receive them

I'm guessing Zen are the issue as their status page is down & I know my connection uses their backhaul

Yep issues at Zen. I'm a Zen customer and it went down about 10 am, but managed to be able to reconnect after a router reboot.

It's also confirmed here: https://servicealerts.zen.co.uk/

Same here. Router is connecting PPP okay but getting the BT Wholesale internal test/diagnostic system so no internet.

The problem with paying a premium price for increasingly unreliable Zen, but there is a https://www.cuckoo.co/ in the nest!

Indeed, they aren't getting my custom for another year, I'm shortly leaving IDNet as contract is almost up. Don't think I've gone more than 30 days before IDNet/Zen have needed to drop PPP and throw me on a more congested around the UK route.

So much for Zen's wonderful redundancy having all these different routes, it didn't help anyone today!

Strange. I think there was a another brief outage last year but my experience with IDNet has continued to be extremely good. Wild horses couldn't drag me away smile

Most actual services are pretty good these days. It's only really the customer service that counts when things go wrong with the product, and that is now quite rare.

Also many real faults turn out to be Openreach anyway, that the CP can do nothing about.

As for Zen and IDNet, I think their high (if the still are) CS ratings could well be people just defaulting to five stars, having not used it for years. I even ended up dissatisfied with AAISP who just refused to accept the stats I gave them over a prolonged period when my line had been banded due to a faulty router which I replaced.

There is an Openreach engineer lives less than half a mile away, on a road I go along most days ....

My banding was removed easily without AAISP action, months after I gave up asking them. The timing of the call to the control centre being literally less than five minutes before my router re-sync'ed, so no coincidence involved.

Connections: OnePlus 8 Pro on Three 4+ (LTE)/5G and at home Three Mobile, with (Three)ZTE MF286D router giving about 113/20Mbps.

Mine went down at 11.50

told them i was reconnecting with a 10.0.0.0 Wan IP and obviously something wrong

apparently i was told all resolved at 13.15 yet my router still showing wrong WAN IP, told them they were wrong and i was still experiencing outage

14.15 fault was fixed however I am unsure why they were unaware my FTTP connection was down

As this is 2nd time now coinciding with Zen outages I am concerned why i should be paying £54 a month for a product that is the same quality of Zen

annoyed to be honest
