I will take it all though it did make me think a little . Same 13 week training schedule as the other position but with different content...
Have queried a few things as if the job had changed then I am thinking my "home" exchange may well now have changed since March.
Multiple emails from different teams and they dont match lol....

Hi all,
Complete noob here but read pretty much all this forum.
I applied on the 21st Sept this year and got the video interview email within half-hour, completed it and now on the tier 2 waiting list. Got that standard email saying await assessment.
my only question is... I have read that some on here have been able to search for jobs in their area. is this still something that can be done or has that all changed?

Dave

Unless I'm not doing it right it appears that you can't do it now. Used to be able type your postcode in and it would show you local vacancies but now it looks like the web page has had a complete makeover.

Ah I see, I thought that maybe the case. I'm based in North Devon and would have loved to see how many are available here

Before it changed i was checking all over the country and it never came up with anything. During the last recruitment drive it was fairly dotted all over bbut that was when they had more vacancies than recruits i would imagine. Now i would imagine they have a stock pile of applicants on hold

Congratulations. My assessment is next week and am curious to know if your body weight was checked at the assessment centre. I currently weighted 121kg and the required max weight by openreach when i completed the application form 3 months ago was 119kg.Pls advise me on what happened on the day of your face to face interview / assessment.

When i did my assessment they did do a speech about they can't except anyone over 18st 10 due to maximm safe working load of the harness. If you fall from a pole, the harness stitching breaks away slowly causing a slow falling brake effect. He looked round and said i can't see anyone here that is near that weight but did warn that if and when you go to training at yarnfield and they suspect your weight then they will weigh you. Someone on here was told to come back when he was under the weight.
