About 6-7 months then.

Hi dennij, I'm Carlisle also.

Had my AC yesterday in Preston, think it went really well. Was a good day so to anyone who has it coming up there's no need to be nervous as the interviewers are all really friendly and chilled out. All the interviewees seemed in high spirits too so it looks like everyone was having a good day, hope everyone that went passes, just a waiting game now....

I think it's just a waiting game. Many people have said it is possibly dependent on the 'need' for people in the area you are based. Hopefully we all get something soon and for those who are going to the AC anytime soon, good luck to all of you.

Is the skills test simple enough?

Skills test is fairly simple but I took a while (think cos I was nervous so trembling slightly due to adrenaline etc.), it's some very basic wiring which is coached first, you're told what all the tools are for, and then you have to mirror a different board to the one you have - I don't want to give away tooo much as it ruins the fun a little, but it's well within anyone's ability. Make sure to wear the safety goggles the entire time and don't be afraid to ask questions during the task if you need help! The skills test is more about your ability to follow instructions rather than it is about doing it first etc.
