Hi all,
I recently applied for a Civil Engineering role with Openreach and i have completed my video interview which i found fine and think i did pretty well.
About 5 days after completing the interview (09/07) i received and email saying: "Congratulations, we're pleased to tell you that you've passed our initial screening. We're progressing your application to the next stage of the Openreach recruitment process where we look to invite you to an assessment centre. Unfortunately due to the high number of applications we receive it is not possible for us to invite all candidates who reach this stage to attend an assessment centre. We invite candidates based on how well they've done in earlier parts of the application process and how much of a match they are for the roles we have available".
Is anyone else currently in this situation or may have been in the past? Would love to hear from some of you that have been through this as the anxiety is now killing me!

Hi there. I'm applying for this role as well. I only got sent the link to do the video interview last night so i'm doing a bit of practice and research first. I'll not be as cheeky as to ask what the questions were but do you know how many there are? I'm pretty sure I have a good idea of what they will be based on though. I don't hold a C1 + E licence. I'm wondering if this will count against candidates?
Good luck in getting to the assessment stage. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the situation for you.

Hi
I initially did the video interview about 2/3 weeks ago really easy, 5 questions I think you get about a minute to answer them and have a practice go as well, just do some research into openreach and the job in general, and why you want it.
I was then invited to a virtual presentation and interview process over Skype which I completed yesterday, there was about 14 of us in all. There was a 45 minute presentation and then 2 interviews it went better than I expected and wasn't too difficult the interviewers were both really nice.
I received an email this morning saying I had passed the assessment but unfortunately there is no current jobs for my area (Leicester) but more may be available later in the year

Good Afternoon,
Curious to know if you've heard anything back yet?

Hello,
I received the same E-mail saying I passed that was 2 weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone in the same position?

|
I did my assessment in July and have been offered a December start date. Just so you know it does happen after a few months wait. If you’ve not heard already then fingers crossed.

Hi, Thanks for letting me know - this is positive news and congratulations!
May i ask what sort of area you are based? As is know start dates and wait times heavily depend on where you're going to be working.

Hi
I am just wondering if you have gotten any further with this yet? I applied at roughly the same time as you as well and received the exact same email. I left it a couple of weeks before emailing them to chase up but was told they are working through applicants and it may take some time etc.
Since this I haven’t heard anything and I don’t want to constantly email them to chase up.
Thanks

How long have people had to wait from passing the assessment to being offered an actual start date? I live in Luton, is there anyone else that has applied for this area?

I passed 23rd of November haven't heard anything since... does say in the email they can't give a time frame.. but by the looks of things they're still doing virtual assessments. No idea when I'm going to start or even get a start date
