Engineer applying to start date not as slow as expected

[link to this post]

Hello all. I have read lots of tales of 7 months or even 2 years to get a start date so thought that I would post my own timeline so far.

Initial online application 6th Jan , Assessment day 16th Feb , given start date 23rd of Feb

Due to start 19th of April. I think I have been lucky just because there are vacancies in my home area but thought this might give some encouragement to others waiting like myself.

I am genuinely excited by the opportunity and will give it my best shot.

Thanks.

Silky

Hi, thank you for the feedback! Much better than what I’ve been reading so that’s pretty reassuring.

I am also starting on April 19th in Scotland. We seem to all be starting at the same time to coincide with this big recruitment drive.
