Pre Checks

[link to this post]

Hi guys so quick question. Has anyone had a CIFAS marker on and still got offered the job. I have nothing on my DBS at all and my credit report. Was wondering if anyone has been offered a job with a CIFAS marker

If it's not on your credit report it won't be on CIFAS, expires after 6 years on both.

I wouldn't worry about these things smile

There are things CIFAS record that have nothing to do with what is in your credit report ? .

Some of the markers on CIFAS are actually to protect you not anything against you and so really should not stop you getting a job or credit. CIFAS is not quite as straight forward as credit report/scoring.

It all depends on if/why the marker is there. Openreach have to protect their reputation so anything iffy they will have to make a call on.

True, I was thinking along the lines of unpaid mobile phone contracts, which do expire after 6 years on both.
I would think if you'd done a worse type of fraud than that and you knew about it, probably not going to get a job like this...
