That's what I don't understand, some people buy designer clothes even though they're not always that practical. They spend lots on their furnishings and decoration.

If people bought clothes like they do PCs they would look like Dwayne Dibbley.

You could just buy an old PowerMac and gut it, stick intel parts inside. Would be a lot of work but people do that stuff all the time.

Marks & Sparks is fine for me! That explains why I prefer to spend £300-400 on a PC rather than the best part of £1000 on a Mac. Computers are just tools as far as I'm concerned. As long as they do the job efficiently I don't much care what they look like. For the same price I'd buy the pretty one, but I'm not going to pay twice as much; I prefer to spend the money on better perfomance.
