iTunes store and HD

I wondered why I couldn't find any movies in HD via iTunes, seems I have to use the Apple TV
.
Simple question- if I buy an HD movie, can I store it in the library on the iMac and stream it, or will it only save on to the ATV's internal HDD?

Given that you can only rent HD movies from itunes, I think they'll just sit on your apple tv until the rental period expires.

I was going to disagree with you, but thought I'd look a bit closer first... the menu on the ATV is a bit misleading, you're right. Thanks.
Not interested in renting
.
