iMovie '09 multi-threaded

[link to this post]

Just getting around to importing some AVCHD footage and guess what, it's using 700% CPU (8-Core Mac Pro) and zipping along. At last, finally a multi-threaded iMovie which should be even better on Snow Leopard.

edit: oh how disappointing, import is over and "analysing for stablisation" is using only a single core

Bah, finished editing and exported using less than a few percent of the Mac Pro's power. I really thought Apple would have done better in 2009, maybe they will unlock it once Snow Leopard is out.
