Listening to BBC Radio

[link to this post]

Hi, I was wondering if there is anyway of listening to BBC Radio 4 online without having to download RealPlayer. That program has been bloated and annoying for many years and I don't want to clutter my computer up.

Cheers.

Thanks for this but it still requires RealPlayer after downloading.

Ah well, guess I'll have to go back to traditional FM!

Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/labs and enable the BETA features. Then go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/playlive/bb... to listen to Radio 4 without RealPlayer.

Enjoy! smile

So it does, sorry about that blush

TBH I'd forgotten I had RealPlayer installed, I don't think I've ever used it smile

Same problem as my link:
If anyone is having issues with streams not playing at all, it could be one of several things:

1. You don't have Real Player and the plugin installed. You'll just get a blue lego brick if this is the case. Head over to http://www.real.com/ and get it, then run Real Player to get it to install the plugin.
2. You don't have the latest version of Real Player. Again, http://www.real.com/

Hah! Shows how much I knew about it. laugh

I've just used it without knowing that it only works because I'd got RealPlayer installed already.
