Probably old news to most, but it might be new to someone
Ever since my Windows 3.11 days I've liked aquarium screen savers, and finally decided to go looking for a Mac one... found a couple that I like.
From Useless Creations- the screen fills with water and fish swim around either your normal desktop or a loaded picture.
It's not bad, but I preferred the one from SereneScreen, to the extent I actually paid for it (Me paying for a screen saver is previously unheard of...)
Running on the Macbook at the moment, can't wait to try it at home on the 24" iMac with dual displays

Each to their own. But if you're not using a computer then it shouldn't matter what it looks like?
You just waste energy when the computer could be idling.

Ah, happy memories ... again!
I was looking after a Mac LAN in Basingstoke in the late 80s/early 90s. I installed some security software on the boss's secretary's Mac, as she kept all the personnel records on her system. She then decided to install an early screen-saver that she found on some warez site ("After Dark"?), complete with fishes; and the two conflicted. I had to wipe her system eventually, and reinstall the whole shooting match. I doubt if she ever heard the end of that. From me ... or from her boss!

Agreed! If I'm at my computer, I'm using it. If I'm not at my computer I can't see anything on its screen. I don't use it as background decoration for other activities.

Ah, After Dark... Flying Toasters
They're still available, but:

Yup! I have no soul that I know of; and I don't feel the need for one.
But I do have a study. My Mac lives in there, and I can't see into it when the door is closed.
Are these facts related in some way?

I've always liked tropical fish, kept them at various times over the years too.
Always wanted a marine aquarium, but I know I don't have the dedication to look after it properly, so a 24" virtual aquarium is a good substitute.
Now, if I could find some way to get the Apple TV to display the screen saver on the 40" HDTV....

Check out some of the "digg" screensavers from labs.digg.com - they are seriously cool and will update in real-time as people "digg" stories.
