Applications Restore after HD failure.

[link to this post]

HD gave up the ghost on my G4 pb.
Everything was backed up on external Western Digital HD - luckily!
Replaced internal pb HD with 250gb WD version.
Most things back to normal apart from:

1. Mail: 2 POP hotmail accounts and three Zen accounts cannot be accessed - all attempts to access them bring up the set up Mail screen. There are two other machines on network and their Mail accounts function normally.

2. QuickTime has reverted to basic version although had Pro before and unfortunately cannot find the upgrade code emailed to me when I bought it - could well be in the missing mail boxes though.

3. iTunes: All albums etc back o.k. they show in grid, list and coverflow view but not in folder form in the playlist column - 500 odd albums means a lot of time to drop into playlist column and modify listing info. A bit strange as iPhoto restored exactly as it was before HD died photo albums and all.

All advice and suggestions will be welcomed.

Log in to the Apple Store and you can get a history of your downloads which shows the Key for QuickTime Pro.

I hope this helps.

Almost everything back to normal now.
QuickTime Pro fully functioning now thanks to Najarak.
Mailboxes were in the back up on ext HD in Library/Mail/Mailboxes/ folder - bit of a fiddle to get the hotmail POP ones to work but all seem o.k now.
iTunes: from grid view select album/new playlist from selection - can only do this with individual albums and have to re click music each time to return to grid view for next album. All time consuming if anyone knows a better/quicker way to do this please share the knowledge.
