iPhone Cases

[link to this post]

Can anyone recommend one iPhone case over another? I am about to take the plunge as soon as O2's stock improves later this week.

Thanks

I've had an Air Jacket on my 3GS since I bought it. It's nice - however I never bothered with a case on my 3G. I always use Crystal Film screen protectors though.

I originally bought a thin rubber cover when I bought my 3G from O2, and the cover came with a couple of screen protection films.

I have never used the screen film, and have not had any problems with scratches.

I used the cover for a few months, but then decided I really preferred the phone to be as slim and small as possible, so I removed it. I have since been using it "au naturel", and it has no significant blemishes, front or back. It lives in my trouser pocket or on my desk.

So the cover was a waste of money for me. YMMV

I prefer a simple sleeve similar to the iPod socks, so when I'm using it I get to feel and enjoy the look of the phone rather than its case. I don't bother with screen films or protectors, just a quick spray and wipe each morning with a camera lens cloth & fluid.

Hi,

I have used both Sena and Vaja cases and either of these seem so much better than any others I have looked at --I looked at LOTS.

Griffin Elan (Leather) great case and nice and luxurious to hold - adds bulk but has an outside leather case and inside a separate plastic layer giving good protection

I use the Invisible case for my 3GS. it's been faultless. It kept my 3G like new - I really like the revo2 you linked to.

Personally I don't like any of the cases that stay on the phone, they just makes the phone look like some sort of industrial throwback from the 90's. I have a little pouch that the phone slides into so that I can keep it in my pocket without worrying if my keys are in there as well. Cost £2.40 of eBay and is ideal.

I just don't get people who cover things, people spend a load of money on a new sofa in the colour/style they like then put covers on it! They may as well have bought a horrid £100 thing instead as you can't see their sofa under the cover.

The iPhone is pretty resilient so unless you work on a building site or other dirty environment don't worry about it just use it as it is.

Couldn't agree more!
