Hmmm... Quite tempted. Used a Garmin in France last week that had some "interesting" diversions!

Yeah, I use a Garmin and it can have a bit of a tendency to head down long, narrow roads even when asked not to.

If only it had traffic integration. My WM 6.0 phone running TomTom Navigator 7 has it, so why not on the iPhone?

I think the whole IQ route planning thingy is supposed to side-step that.

Co-Pilot and Telenav look more fully-fledged and have the added benefit of being cheaper.

Bought it a day or so ago, I like it. Got the Navigon before too. I won't be stuck anyhow lol.

IQ simply plans the best route based on traffic predictions not current traffic. HD Traffic provides realtime traffic info and does route recalculation based on current circumstances.

Saw the price and was disappointed... Bought Copilot £26 less a penny... works very well. Certainly very good value for money and more the price range I would have wanted given that you are buying software only and not hardware....

Agreed completely, co-pilot is exactly the sort of price it should be for a software app that runs on my own hardware. A dedicated sat-nav is better anyway in my opinion as it won't get interrupted when a call or text comes in and why tie up your internet enabled phone giving directions when someone could be using it to browse while in the car.
The only reason I want sat-nav on my iPhone is as backup in case I happen to have forgot the navigator or find myself in someone else's car and need some directions.
If for example my wife and I a driving somewhere and she is driving I want to be able to sit and use my phone for web browsing and taking calls without stopping the navigation.
