� iPod and iPhone syncing now allows you to organize your iPhone and iPod touch home screens directly in iTunes. Syncing is now also more flexible, allowing you to sync individual artists, genres, or TV show and Podcast episodes.

� iTunes U items are now organized into their own section in your iTunes library.

Just been browsing in there, found a good few things to get.

I installed the update on my Powermac G5 (non intel) and ever since I've had problems - iTunes frequently seizes up when left inactive for any length of time, and I have tried repeatedly to sync a new Classic iPod with varying problems. Often the mac doesnt recognise the ipod is connected, or sync starts then seizes up, and the one time the sync did complete the mac then told me "itunes doesnt recognise the ipod"??? More worryingly the powermac doesnt start up properly and/or does so with a kernel panic immediately afterwards. Help!

Seems more like coincidental hardware issues to me, either with the Mac of the iPod.

Both my machines are intel, I don't use the G5 anymore, It would be worth checking the memory as that can cause some odd problems.

OK, re the memory what should I be looking for?

If you have more than one pair of modules try removing each pair in turn and then trying the machine (don't forget to switch off the G5 and unplug it before removing any modules) also be careful with the memory and only handle it by the edges ( do not touch the edge pins).

I thought I had a duff disk in my old G4 that turned out to be a duff memory module. you could also check that the memory shows up correctly in the system profiler.

Could also actually be a duff disk though.
