I understand that the student off for the Apple Care is only available online/over the phone, I need the Macbook ASAP as I'm in and out of the country quite a bit at the moment. If the store can't offer that deal to me, do you think I'd be able to still buy the Apple Care at a later date?

You can purchase AppleCare for up to one year from the purchase date.

Don't know how far you are from an Apple Store but if you take a photo bearing student ID they might be able to give you the discount there.

That would involve me having student ID.

And I am going to take a wild stab in the dark here and guess that this would, in turn, involve me in some way in being a student.

Does a student in the university of life count : )

Nope that only entitles you to non tax exemption and full fares on all forms of transport.

It is cheaper to buy AppleCare the regular way. The enrollment fees alone would be more than any savings. laugh

Got it from the Apple Store in Bluewater, they threw in the Apple Care for £58, and even knocked a bit more off of the price (got it for £1180 instead of £1200)... Not much but every little helps tongue
