"A magical and revolutionary product at an unbelievable price" - It truly has an unbelievable price lol. I will probably order a 16gig wi-fi one later. Would love a 3G one but the prices are a bit too steep =S.

Easiest way and cheapest is to purchase a MIFI from 3 and do the mobile broadband connection that way instead of getting a bundle for £100 more......

That was my original plan but in the end I just did not want the hassle of looking after another piece of equipment so I ordered a 3G.
Using a MIFI is still a great alternative though and even offers some degree of future proofing, if faster networks become available - just change the MIFI rather than become stuck with built in 3G,

Is it just me or do you get the impression O2 are not overly excited about carrying the iPad as they were the iPhone? No direct link from the front page (when I looked) and PAYG only. PAYG is the slowest connection and doesn't provide a method to bypass O2's particularly harsh image compression. Perhaps MiFi would be the way to go - Option & Novatel have some good hardware here.

Which one did you go for? I want to have a play with one first, so i'll wait 'till they are in the shops.

If Apple's laptops were £500 or so then the price would be stupid, but given their laptops are £800 it fits in with their pricing structure.
Can't justify one, even with all the cool music apps like iElectribe.

Originally went with wifi only version... Then changed my mind and cancelled the order in favour of the wifi and 3g version.
Date of shipment changed to June 7th!
Reason I changed is that my mifi holds it's charge for up to 3 hours which is no good if I'm out.... Apparently 3 are now offering micro sims so will contact them shortly...

No doubt the version after the 3G one will have the extra bells & whistles that may make all the difference.
I loved my iPhone 3G, but, the 3Gs is the canines testes. Can't wait for OS 4, then the iPhone 4.
Lovely stuff.

Thats useful to know as I was considering using a MiFi + WiFi iPad but only three hours is not so good.
