Yeah, I'll prolly set it going once the footie starts (only have a 3g so no multitasking 'til I upgrade).

On a related note, how long before El Reg runs "Reports of mahoosive problems with iOS4" story?

It said 19-20 on mine, but took about 25 in total.

To the OP, thanks for that.

Here's a problem, Exchange gmail no longer works. I deleted and re-input the account details but I'm getting connection to server failed error. Any one else seeing this?

Seems to be a fairly widespread problem.

Took the length of the Spain/Honduras match (including half time, obv) - full backup (thought it had stalled at one point. Apple REALLY has to work on its user feedback), install, reboot to factory settings, restore from backup (lots of apps including a couple of biggees and loads of music and vids).

Seem to have disabled my pinlock, but that might be 'cos of the new system. Not checked yet.

Then did a carrier update which seems to have beefed up my signal no end (touch wood).

Folders are lovely.

Took just over 40 mins on my 3G. Looks interesting, particulary the new mailbox feature.

I love my 3G even more now - Folders, Unified Inbox, New-look Dock, and best of all - the speed improvements are just fantastic! My 3G feels more like a 3GS (I'd love to see the speed improvements on the 3GS!).

Well done Apple!

I'd be interested to see if these improvements mean reductions in battery life on the 3g before I upgrade mine.

I use the Battery Magic app and it shows much the same as before the upgrade. i.e. no battery life reduction on my 3G.
