Great if you live over the pond!- The link is to a page that announces the Lite version of the US maps.

Couldn't find it listed under Navigon's Apps on the UK store.

the transport for london site will produce maps for cycle trips.
http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQU...

select where from/to in london, and scroll down to select cycle.

ok not iphone app or gps,
ps I agree openstreetmap is useful too
