Bit puzzled why you want to do it direct. Seems a bit odd. Still, takes all sorts.

But Dropbox will certainly do what you need.

Probably! But if its legit, the simple way would be to get the Apple Camera Connection Kit for the iPad, and attach the iPhone 4 via its USB cable. Or much easier - sync both to the same iTunes installation on a Mac or PC.
