problem setting up printer on LAN

I have a new Macbook Pro and am trying to set up my Canon Pixma MX700 that is connected via a network cable to the Netgear WNR1000. I have set it up already on my 24" iMac but cannot find the Canon IJ Network tool on my MB.

I have tried downloading the pkg for the network tool but I get a message that says that it has come from an unknown developer and will not install.

Anyone know what to do?

right click on the install package and select open you will then be prompted with an accept unvalidated package warning - accept to install.

Have you tried /Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter/Utilities ?

(NB. Not the 'Library' in your Home folder.)
