iPhone 5 and skype

Since upgrading to the iPhone 5 been having problems with Skype on 3G, when I try voice call on Skype I select to cal the person rather than their number, and it goes blue, but the call never connects, have tried restarting Skype no luck, have to quite and keep trying before it connects. Once it connects its fine but getting it to connect is a pain, all was fine on the 4s.

It's more likely an iOS 6 issue than iPhone 5 specific. I've a 4S and not seen an update from Skype.

BTW, you can also try Viber - free calls over your data connection, like Skype, but it uses your actual phone number instead of having to have a separate ID but, like Skype, the person you're calling needs to have Viber installed too.

Have switched to face time, looks like it is a Skype and iPhone 5 problem, have seen some posts on other mac forums, suffering the same problems.
