iPhone Message Alerts

I seem to recall on either IOS4 or 5 that you could set the number of alerts for a text message etc, so it would keep reminding you that a text has arrived for X amount of times.

I cannot seem to find this in IOS 6 and was just wondering if it has been removed?

Settings >> Notifications >> Messages

That's what happens being without an iPhone for 6 months
