Nildram email on iPad

I still have an old Nildram email address that I regularly use. I can't get the out gout email to work on my iPad, messages fail and remain in outbox.

I know it's a long shot but does anybody have a nildram email set up on an iPad?

The account works fine on my PC using:

Mail.nildram.co.uk
Smtp.nildram.co.uk

On the iPad I've tried setting the outgoing server to use a password however when using the password for incoming mail it returns a message saying incorrect password.

Any clues?

Maybe it is incorrect, check caps is not on at the start of your input of your password. It can be on by default.

Dunno much about mobile connections, but who is your network provider?

Perhaps they block port 25 SMTP like some fixed ISPs do.

Does Nildram (TT?) have a non-port 25 SMTP?

Sussex it, the following settings are needed on a mobile device

Server: smtp-auth.gotadsl.co.uk
Port: 587
SSL (Secure Socket Layer or Encryption): Disabled
SPA (Secure Password Authentication): Disabled (or clear text)
Authentication: Required
Authentication Type: Plaintext Password
Username: Your e-mail address
Password: Your mailbox password
