8.1 is out for iPad...

It is supposed to fix bug which would stop Screen rotation from working, but in my case that's exactly what doesn't work any more!!!!!

My iPad was stuck in portrait since loading OS8.1...

The answer ( and it has worked for me... So far)...

Is to power off and then hold the iPad in landscape as it restarts...

That was a weird one!

Hmm. Fine for me.

Have you tried the ever trusty hard restart (hold the home button down while turning on)?

Check the iPad portrait orientation lock hasn't been set, swipe up from the bottom and on the right, lock symbol. Caught my wife out, that one.

I had checked that about 3 times before STFW again... and found the idea to restart while holding horizontally...

Didn't give me any problem on my iPad2 - everything just continued to work
