IPad Air 8.1 Firmware fails to copy/paste

Since the last few updates my IPad Air which is approx 6 months old has lost the facility to copy/ paste,when it does manage before the 8.1 update it continues to copy the same link I copied previously and doesn't overwrite it like previously .

Now it just doesn't work and it's getting annoying and frustrating ,been looking for a fix online but have yet to find one only other discontented other users with the same issue.

Anyone else having problems,and has anybody got a fix .

Sounds like a noob question, but which commands are you using ? I use cmd+c and cmd+v does that work ?

It's an iPad.

I'm not using commands,I'm just putting my finger on the link and then the options come up which will say select .select all.Copy..

Then I go of to the website in question ,want to copy the link and Zippo.....Nothing.

That's what I thought when he said command I frantically started looking for the keys on my IPad .

Have you tried the "go to" things like a hard restart (power and home button held until the Apple appears)?

Might be worth doing a full backup, doing a clean install and then restoring from that backup. It is hard not to suspect that something has got corrupted.

I don't think IOS8 is Apple's finest hour. Have all sorts of wifi issues.

iPod touch with same problem. There's a thread on Apple discussions about this.
Two restores didn't fix it.

I told ya I sounded noob-ish. Connections I know, the magic boxes people connect on the end ain't my thang. Sorry.
