M$ killing off office 2016

I'm sure everoyone know Microsoft is killing Office for Mac 2016 off in favour of its subscription service. Does anyone know of a add-in that will make Pages/Numbers save by default as docx, xlsx etc?
Reason I asked I was filling out a document from word, with tables that did not convert properly when exporting back to Word.

Office 2016 will still work, it's just going out of support so you could continue to use it.

Other than that, I would guess you could create an Automator action and to do the export.


Edit: You could also buy 2019 as a one-off.
