I think your problem is just that Safari is different to Firefox. So you find Safari annoying in the same way that I find Firefox annoying when I’m on a Linux machine (and Edge even more annoying on Windows).

Nothing wrong in sticking with what you are used to.

You are right. I don't find Edge annoying, apart from the rubbish on when it starts up.
As you said, nothing wrong with staying what I am used to. It was like Opera years ago, i hated it.

The real benefits of Safari over other browsers are:

- tight integration with the rest of Apple's systems (I don't believe you have an iPad or iPhone ?)
- lower power usage than other browsers (you've got a desktop)

So there is no shame in sticking with what you know/like in this case.

I used Chrome for years on the Mac despite also using an iPhone (and using Safari there). It was only its worsening use of memory and power that finally pushed me to switch to Safari.

This thread just proves humans are creatures of habit. That’s all. Bye

No iphone and Ipad, I don't like IOS.

Brave is pretty nice on MacOS, IOS and Win10/11.

Based on Chrome and security focussed.
