files from Android to mac.

What a fuss, on the PC I can connect via USB, and it works, fine, but could I get it working on my Mac? No chance.
Bluetooth is fine for photos, but too slow for video.

I found a App for Android called EX file manager, that allowed me to use FTP for my Nas, which works, but is a pain as I then have to move the file from the NAS to the MAC. Anyway, found out today that the same app use SMB, turned on sharing on the MAc and away we go.
Now the file moved to the mac in 3 minuted instead of 3 hours that Bluetooth would have taken.

Would have been easier if the MAc had liked to connect with my phone via USB. Just another MAc issue I suppose, should be used to them by now. smile

Even so, i still prefer Mac OS than Windows now.

Apple made the decision not to support the protocol Google uses for USB file transfer. Microsoft built it into Windows, and someone included it in most desktop/laptop Linux distros. Google provide a free Mac app to solve, as linked above.

More here for the detail if you want.

Using a mac is a lifetime of compromises. wink Apple of course assume you’ll use an iPhone!

Thanks peeps, that explains it, yes I remember mass storage on my old phones,
I May have a look at the app, but to be honest, using the Wi-fi may be a better way.

I doubt very much if I will ever get a Iphone, too expensive and I don't like IOS

Once again, thanks yo you both
