...works well for portable devices like tablets and phones, where usually basic printing is all that's needed. Others if a full feature set is wanted, yeah by all means jump on a laptop / desktop loaded with a full-fat driver.

I was watching a video on YouTube by a bloke who does a lot of photo printing, and he was setting up a new Epson on his Mac studio and he said about the Air print driver and I thought, I will have a look and yes, I was using Air print.
But as I said, for the printer i have it makes little difference, no profiles or stuff like that. I now have secure print and I can change a few things like colour matching and I now have Toner save.

Saying that, the printer seems to come out of standby a little faster for some reason.

I use Airprint from my iPhone to an Canon IP8750 and you can control pretty much all the same settings as you can on a Mac.

On the Mac I'm using a USB connection.
