Just thought id come here and ask a question..
Now this modem and 3 are fine for my needs and work well in the area im in. But I have a problem with the firmware that was supplied with the modem. I've heard that its a bit buggy, and I experience this when im trying to play World of Warcraft over the modem.
When the modem switches between 3G and HSDPA, it causes wow to disconnect, yet everything else is fine. Three's delightful staff blamed it on the IP changing but i dont believe them
I found a firmware upgrade for the modem which was supposed to fix it, think it was an AU model, but i installed it anyway. The firmware worked and played warcraft for about 30 mins fine
So the questions,
Was the modem dieing a coincidence? even though it worked fine after the firmware upgrade.
Is there a UK firmware I could use, or a fix for the problem im getting with the connection switching?
Is there somewhere I can buy another usb modem that will do the same job (ive heard only the e160g suffers from this)
Thanks in advance
