That looks suspiciously like a mobile phone/modem number if you add a zero to the beginning. Just a thought. What phone number does your VMC indicate?

I'm looking for a fix for this issue too.

Maybe it's a vodaphone network issue?

"The mobile broadband network connection operation(context activation) failed with irror codde 770994186".
I discovered that my APN setting was the contract one instead of the pre-paid one.
Then I changed the APN setting into "vfprepaymbb".
It works!

For those who had the similar problem, please make sure your APN is the correct one.

Hi guys - I had the same error fault and found that i had not ticked the box to accept conditions - when I did this I connected. I had a look for the APN - could not find this and it was when I was doing this I found the 'accept vodas conditions' panel... and remembered in a previous post make sure the box is ticked. Thanks to all who replied to this fault - it got me going smile

Hi,

Success. I have a ZTE usb prepaid modem + a post paid WiFi plan. Today my ZTE (used with my Netbook) returned the dreaded 770994186 error code. Clearly a common problem as a quick google delivered two pages. After trying ALL the suggestions I found on the web without any success I did find that you can do without the Vodafone software completely.

Solution: just plug in the stick, go to devices and printers, right click on the modem and click dial vodafone. Works perfectly for me without using the supplied software. In fact I have even disabled the autostart to be sure. I have repeatedly dialled and disengaged and it has worked perfectly every time.

Unless there is something unusual with my W7 setup, this should be a common solution for all.

TonyS
