3 in place of fixed broadband?

[link to this post]

Hi does anyone know if its possible or has experience using the one plan for £25 a month then use the sim in a usb modem (or router that has 3g support) - this would then be equal to a fixed line unlimited but mobile broadband right?

Would the speed be normal HSPA or HSPA+

I'm not sure if I'd get it instead of my fixed connection, but below is my home broadband vs three

Be there:

Three UK 3G:

The 3G connection is actually faster than my fixed broadband, and it's incredibly smooth for gaming on. I get around 30ish ping in-game, which is higher than the fixed broadband, but it's perfectly adequate.

I will be forced to do the 3 mobile broadband thing in a couple of months when we move into the middle of nowhere. ADSL at 2MB/sec or HSPA at 10MB/sec?
Seems like no choice as bonded is too expensive. Hopefully 3 will go 4G in next 12 months so will be able to get even faster connection.

(I Netflix all day long and have used 165GB so far this month)
[censored] me we're only on day 7 of this month and you've already done that. I hope Three cut you off.

I know we're not on about EE but if Three use the 1800Mhz band they are buying from the T-Mobile+Orange merger then the same phones will work. Yes if there are different models with different cellular chipsets this makes it all very confusing.
