I would expect anything new in retail to be Win 8 compatible as a result of Microsoft dominance. Check the small print on the box or on the web site of the retailer.
Windows 8 (actually Windows 6.2) has lots of backward compatibility legacy features so even something designed for Windows 7 (actually 6.1) is very likely to work.
