does the phone signal booster box help with mobile broadband

My friend lives in middle of nowhere, he does get adsl broadband and a few megabytes so not too slow but his parents refuse to let him use it often due to caps.

He was thinking of getting a One Plan sim as he has a 3 phone and just tethering it so he can go on youtube and play online games and get game updates.

But since he only gets 2G in his area how exactly would the box help?

If the caps on the fixed broadband connection are a problem, then as the booster box uses the broadband connection it would still cause the problem.

Solution is to bite the bullet and pay the extra for an unlimited connection. Even if in contract providers will let you upgrade usually.

I thought that would be the case thanks, the reason he doesnt just upgrade is his parents have refused to let him even though he offered to pay the full costs.
