I've got one in my MiFi on PAYG and I've just tried, and no, I can only get the top up page using my laptop. You're lucky.

It went down entirely yesterday for me on contract, I couldn't check my usage etc at all. I downloaded 1.2Gb via tethering and it's not showing it at all now so I think somethings a miss.
