no tweaks, however I suspect it needs the latest EE firmware which I dont have as I am using a custom firmware, which is why I dont like they didnt use an app, as this sort of forces people to use the official EE firmware if they want the feature.

Given the people I know on O2 and Three who have all ditched the apps as "useless" and "can't hear anyone" - I suspect there are good reasons for why EE didn't bother with an app. Neither has Vodafone.

Since getting the carrier update to do the WiFi calls...

If you go to settings - mobile - voice & data.

You can now choose 2G, 3G or 4G. Before you could not do this.

Quite nice to force 2G where 3G is barely hanging on.

I have to go stand by a back of the house window to get calls on my mobile now ...
Heh! wink

How do you find out here is one to receive?

smile

I have to leave the phone on the table in the dining room, at the back of the house, and hope I hear the ring tone. Not very convenient. This is what i had to do before I had a phone with UMA.

If you ring EE they may be able to send you out a signal box, I got one last year free of charge.

You plug it into your router and you get full 3G around the house.

I agree integrated it will be a more reliable thing as its probably part of the OS/built in dialer thats hidden by default.

I will send the new info to XDA and hopefully those guys can figure how to either accept the EE "turn on" signal or to unhide it by default.
