EE aiming for 95% 4G by land area

Mobile phone operator EE is aiming to bring 4G to 95% of the UK landmass by 2020 as well as relocating its customer services to the UK and Ireland.

EE said it also aimed to bring all its customer services operations back to the UK and Ireland from overseas by the end of 2016.

"It's a big investment," said Marc Allera.

"People look at off-shoring as reducing costs but when you look at the added cost of unhappy customers... actually this isn't going to be an enormous incremental cost."

Then they say that's if they can get government help for mast siting, access and prevention of extortionate rentals. That doesn't sound very easy.

I think some of the government help may be for the emergency services contract they won.

Also there has been a lot of talk between government and mobile networks ever since Cameron couldn't make phone calls on holiday in 2015. So there may be plans afoot not yet stated?

Shame EE is a rip off! £60 a month for 24 months for 50gb mobile broadband!

Well you can get 50gb for £34 a month on a 12 month contract now with the 4g home broadband device.
