Is it normal for 4g routers to drop signal every hour?

So, I've had a Vodafone 4G router for a few months now and it works fine for the most part, the only issue I have is that every hour or so the connection drops (for around about a minute).

Is this usual for 4G routers or could it be Vodafone themselves?

When I tethered my phone on pfsense and used it for days at a time this didnt happen.

I have a 4g router and a Vodafone pay monthly data sim and recognise the behaviour you describe with the connection dropping out or slowing right down every now and again. This doesn`t prove one way or another if it`s the router or Vodafone but I had an EE data plan for a while and noticed the same sort of thing with connection dropping for short periods so maybe it is something to do with the router.
