THEORY Double the Antennas, Double the Connection THEORY

[link to this post]

So I in the last few days have purchased a 4g router TP-Link 300 Mbps 4G LTE SIM Archer MR6400 and a very basic (but has helped) SMA Antenna https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0723BQZ6T/ref=o...

While the antenna has doubled the connection speeds after testing the included bunny ear antennas. I have an idea!!!

2 Antennas? I found a dual sma connector male to female and got the idea. The theory is double the antennas double to the connection? Im wondering has anyone tried this before or maybe even someone with more knowledge of signals and routers be more knowledgeable. I dont know how antennas work or even routers work so obviously any advice would be grateful.

I dont think your idea would achieve the doubling of speed you imagine. Theres still the same source and the same receiver. They might just hear each other a little better.

Two separate antennas, two separate SIMs then bond the output together.... but I suspect thats defeating your objective.

This is just a guess from me BTW. Vaguely based on pair bunching on DSL.

Not an expert but I would think if you have two antennas trying to transmit the same data on the same frequency then they are going to give interference to each other and actually may significantly reduce the speed of the connection - if that wasn't the case then everyone would be doing it.

adding another antenna will make things worse not better, it would alter the impedance af the routers amplifier chip which will negatively effect the amount of power transmitted..
