Three HomeFi Huawei B310 LTE CPE Telephone Port use

[link to this post]

I was just wondering if anyone with the Three HomeFi Huawei B310S-22 router knows whether the phone port on the back allows you to connect a normal analogue phone to make calls via the SIM card (or maybe even VOIP, VoLTE, etc)?

The quick start guide mentions and shows that a phone can be connected:
http://www.three.co.uk/static/user_guides/Three_Home...

Having had a quick look at screen shots of the B310 LTE CPE in general on Google Images it seems to vary if the unit even has the menu option that even mentions phone, depending upon the provider, but as Three mention that their device is provided unlocked Im assuming the option is there and not missing in the firmware provided on the Three unit.

By what I can gather, if its supported, there is a VOIP menu under setting where you can select and configure one of many options like regular calls like on your mobile or even SIP.

Hi,

I don't have one of those but if it's anything like the Superhub 3ac from VM then the ports will be disabled and might be there for "future" use....When that future will be is anyone's guess....It's the same with the USB ports on the V6 box and some Freeview boxes. Those ports can only be used for updating the firmware not for attaching extra storage space or stream films from....

HTH,
