I am quite impressed with the B525 and after looking through the options I see this device has WAN & LAN port. This got me wondering. Would it be possible to place say a Virgin Media Superhub in modem mode, and then feed this straight in to the WAN socket to utilise the Wi-Fi of the B525?
If it is, what would happen if both LTE & Virgin connections are live at the same time. I see on Draytek routers you have the option of load balancing and/or fail over so that either of the services can be used, or one can be primary and one as a backup.
Now obviously the Huawei isn't designed to have anywhere near same complexity as a Draytek device however still interested to know what would happen. Or is the WAN port only for bridge mode to output the connection to another router?
Also, I'm impressed you can make calls using a DECT phone via the RJ11, however for some reason as mentioned in the other tread I am unable to receieve calls on the number. Assume it's something to do with the device dropping to 3G to make a call, and not being aware of the incoming call when serving data so the network just see's the line as 'busy'.
