The perfect buy!!! :: Mobile Broadband (3G, 4G, 5G etc)

Some may have seen I recently bought a OnePlus 8 Pro. It's a bit longer than I would have preferred, for stuffing in "conventional" (aka old-fashioned) trouser pockets which ex-lockdown I frequently have to wear where such are de rigeur. (Especially as modern pockets even in such trousers are far to shallow to be safe even for coins).

I'm very pleased with it so far, as at £799 from all reputable UK sources it is wayyyyy above the price I'm normally prepared to pay. One of the benefits of lockdown! I haven't been spending anything significant in normal life.

Reading an article linked to today elsewhere on this site I was faced by an advert for it at £697. I was of course "rather perturbed" 🤣.

I clicked it.

"Chinese version flashed with official global rom".

I think I didn't miss out on a bargain. Particularly as OnePlus is a Chinese business anyway.

Connection - Three B311 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up. 1+ 8 Pro max 80Mbps down, 24Mbps up.
