Has anyone got any experience (good, bad or ugly) of the 3 home broadband kit & service?

I have 4G Broadband with 3 and it much better than the landline I used to have. 5G is not available here.

3 times faster and significantly cheaper. I do have line of sight to the cell tower though. I have a ZTE MF286D router I bought myself off eBay and a SIM only deal.

The Ofcom coverage checker reckons we should have good 5g. My daughter is going to come round as she is on a 3 service (ID Mobile) so we can do a speed test. I got 150Mbs/14Mbs on Vodafone earlier so I'm hoping I'll get similar on 3. ADSL on the landline is usually around 6Mbs/0.5Mbps but, due to an ongoing fault that is hopefully being dealt with, we're down to 1.2Mbs/0.1Mbps at the moment!

U need excellent coverage for indoor for Three. If it say good coverage which I used for my Three 5G Hub and only getting 150/40 for indoor (good coverage) as my cell tower mast is 978m away.

The modem part of the kit, which arrived yesterday, is designed to be outdoor mounted. I've got it up & running hanging inside an upstairs window, using some spare action camera mounts. It uses PoE & a flat ethernet cable to connect to the supplied Eero wireless router. I will get the ladders out later & see about finding the best outside location, which I expect to be fairly close to where it is now.

It is already better than the (now fixed) ADSL. Although that is a low bar, as I reckon we've got around a mile of copper, despite being on FTTC. Ironically the cabinet isn't significantly closer to us, in a direct line, than the exchange & the copper wire has a somewhat convoluted route from there to us.
