Moving a NTE5

[link to this post]

I've just moved into a house, where the NTE5 is in the bedroom, and I'd like to move it into the Office, which is next to it.

The line comes in from the DP (mounted on the eve), down the wall and in through the window.

I can rewire the master ok, but there isn't enough slack from the DP to run it to the room next door, again down the wall and through the window.

So, in order to do it, I presume I'll have to get more cable and run it from the DP.

Is it just external telephone cable I need?
Any pictures of what I'll need to rewire in the DP, or is it as straight forward as the NTE?

Cheers

The NTE5 and the incoming cable are not yours to do this with. You should wire an extension from the NTE5 to the office.

It is an offence to tamper with the wiring at that point. If you want the NTE5 moved you have to get BT to do it. As has been said you are only allowed to wire extensions from it.
