Connect wireless router to wireless router

I'm trying to connect two routers to each other so one is an access point and the other is essentially just acting as a wireless card

See this diagram for what I mean. The bit I can't workout is in red

I'm guessing I need to put the DG into bridged mode and the WAG into client mode. Not entirely sure how though

Can anyone help or provide a pointer (the sharper the point the better)

in general routers and access points don't come with client modes so you're only likely option is 3rd party firmware where available. I CBA to wait for the image to crawl onto my PC
