ADSL2+ modem and seperate wireless router...

[link to this post]

Hi,

Weel I am in the process of networking my house and am unsure whether to purchase a seperate ADSL+ modem and use an Apple Airport extreme as the router or purchase a router with integarated modem such as the Belkin N1 Vision.

What is the better set up, seperate or integrated? I am looking a this modem http://www.pcwb.com/catalogue/item/NENEI01 and then conect it to Apple Airport Extreme. However, I am not sure whether this modem is good, are there better modems than the one posted? I have looked on the internet and seem both good and bad reviews of the Belkinn N1 vision, but cannot stop thinkiong that it is gimmicky.

Also I plan to get either UK Online or Sky broadband. Will these be compatible with a seperate modem such as the one posted?

Thanks for any replies

Sky broadband includes a router, saving you the bother.

Combined units are simpler and cheaper than taking two boxes into the shower.

Hi, if you are still after a Modem for your set-up, get the DrayTek Vigor 110 ADSL2+ Ethernet Modem, it is considered a good one and is ideal to connect the Apple Airport Extreme wireless access point.

Apple Airport Extreme here.
